I have an extensive background working on behalf of vulnerable people in crisis, formerly as a social worker and now as an attorney.

My practice is heavily concentrated on matrimonial, family law, and estate planning.

I find the most rewarding aspect of my work is settling contentious cases before trial to help support all family members. This is why I now focus on mediation. Way too often parties spend inordinate amounts of money litigating family law matters and create a great deal of emotional damage along the way. I firmly believe that the best way to dissolve the marriage is by mediation, especially if there are children involved. Parties can develop creative settlements that are unique to their family issues and needs. I can help make this difficult situation more understandable and hopefully, less painful.

I am a member of the New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, former Co-Chair of the LGBT Law Committee of the SCBA, and a Public Health Educator at Stony Brook University's Center for Public Health Education.
